What is with fashion these days, people are going for this new
'idunnowhatthehellimdoing' look. They throw on a $120 shirt, a $200 dollar pair
of jeans, slap on $120 dollar Ralph Lauren cologne and then put on
some Ug boots. YES Ug boots, now for those of us who have been lucky enough
to avoid this 'trend', Ug boots are those sheep skin boots that have a woollen
inside and a nice soft rubber sole, for walking around your house in. They are
warm and comfortable, apparently.
Now most trends make you look stupid, like cowboy hats or wearing your collar
up, but Ug boots not only make you look stupid, they make you look like a weirdo.
I mean can you take anyone serious if they are talking to you in their pyjamas?
No, it's the same thing with Ug boots. I at first thought that they were just
people who couldn't find their shoes or were really lazy, so I would point it
out to them "do you realise your wearing Ug boots?" They would reply
something stupid like "ohh, umm yeh".
It would confuse me, but then I started noticing it in clubs, and well everywhere.
This has to be the dumbest trend ever. Seriously. I am lost for words to explain
to anyone how stupid they look.
IN fact, I thought if people are going to start dumb trends, I may as well be
a part of it. Here are some things you should do if you want to be cool:
1. Wear a hockey mask, everywhere.
2. Shave one leg; make sure the other leg is extra hairy.
3. Wear your underwear or boxers backwards. This is important, because when you take a girl/guy home you want them to know you are cool.
4. Walk around with a copy of War and Peace; it will make you look really smart.
5. For clothing wear only tight leather pants, or lycra bike shorts, for a shirt wear a really old flannelette shirt, tight if possible.
6. Don't wear shoes, wear slippers.
This new trend will be called 'submissive gimp'.
There are some cool trends, like suicide and teenage alcoholism, but on the most part they are really stupid. It seems people are easily led these days. Some people are trend magnets also, every time the fashion changes so do they. One week they are an underground rapper, next they are a metal head (who of course was into ____ before you had ever heard of them). These people piss me off heaps, because they constantly argue with you about your taste in music/clothes/hobbies or 'hang outs'. They will refuse to go to your local bar or club because it's not their style. Then one day they are suddenly locked into some similar trend to how you act, like everybody acting like the guys of jackass, and they are overly hardcore and weird about everything you do. They will crank 'anthem' songs for your scene and know all the words, they will learn the entire 'lingo' which is usually outdated and not used correctly anyway and damn it, they just piss me off.
I was going to add some pictures to this but I decided A. I don't want to look at pictures of Ug Boots (unless they are attached to naked chicks) and B. I don't give a rats ass if it helps you people visualise my words.
